Colombia. At the end of 2017, the Agora International Convention Center was inaugurated in Bogotá Colombia. A modern building that seeks to position itself internationally as an event scene, must have the latest in audiovisual technology.
For this, the American company Acustic was in charge of designing the audiovisual part, guaranteeing very high standards. Based on this design, a public tender was made that was won by Construcciones Acústicas for the audiovisual integration and by RLASAV for the operation of the equipment.
This last company of Chilean origin, with a presence in Colombia for several years, is in charge of the operation of all the events that take place in the convention center. Víctor Matamala, manager for Colombia of RLASAV, commented that as part of their offer in the tender, they offered to install projectors in each of the rooms above the requirements they requested, with equipment of 8 thousand, 12 thousand and 25 thousand epson laser lumens and with Shure microphone.
As far as video processing is concerned, they acquired two Switchers Analog Way Premium Ascender32-4K-PL and a control console, the Vertige.
The acquisition of these machines was made through the commercial manager of Analog Way for Latin America, Alessandro Amoretti, who was in constant meetings with the people of RLASAV to coordinate the project and decision-making in this regard. The support of. Amoretti and Analog Way's distributor for Latin America, Vitech, was very important for the selection and purchase of the machine.
RLASAV knew Analog Way's products well and communicated regularly with Amoretti as they worked together in Chile in the past. These same video processors and mixers are used in important RLASAV events in Chile. The Ascender32-4K-PL are high-resolution video climbers and mixers and accept video signals of all kinds up to 4K. They can be used in matrix mode, that is, with independent outputs, and also make panoramas. They are controlled through a web browser but can also be operated with the Vertige console.
Víctor Matamala, commented that the advice provided by Alessandro for the implementation of the video switchers has been fundamental and that without his help they would not have come with the times.
