Latin America. One of the novelties that has most attracted the attention of the recent presentation of products made by the Samsung company is its Smartphone Fold, which stands out for having a flexible 7.3-inch screen.
This device incorporates the first Infinity Flex screen, which can be folded as a compact device with an additional exterior screen, integrating the best of a Smartphone and a Tablet with innovations in materials, engineering and screen, developed over eight years since the presentation of the first prototype with flexible screen of Samsung in 2011.
For the foldable screen Samsung has developed a new layer of polymer and a screen approximately 50% thinner than the typical smartphone screen. This new material allows Galaxy Fold to be flexible and hard.
In order to achieve a fluidity in the opening and closing of the screen, Samsung has designed a union with multiple interlocking gears. The mechanism has been hidden.
According to the company, the Galaxy Fold has been designed with smartphone users in mind, interested in larger formats to optimize their experience. It allows you to make calls or send messages with one hand from an external screen and open it to perform several tasks at once, up to three applications, and get better image quality in videos, presentations, digital magazines, movies and augmented reality thanks to its screen.
As for the audio and video, the device is equipped with immersive graphics on the Dynamic Amoled screen and the sound is on account of the speakers calibrated by AKG. In addition, it has six lenses: three on the back, two on the inside and one on the deck. It introduces a new level of multitasking that allows you to use other apps while making a video call.
The Galaxy Fold will be available during the second quarter of 2019.
Huawei Mate X
The company Huawei also joined the launches within the framework of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with the presentation of a folding screen smartphone that ends in 8 inches. Unlike Samsung's smartphone that folds its screen inward, Huawei's Mate X does so outward.
It has a flexible OLED panel and a mechanical hinge that allow you to go from a screen of about 6 inches folded to 8 inches, in addition to 5G connectivity.
