Latin America. The American manufacturer recently presented new coaxials, both for micro-wave links, as well as for wireless microphone applications, through cellular signal amplifiers, broadcast transmitters and security projects.
Juanma Cortes, Belden manager for Audiovisual, told us the news: "Regarding the links, which typically require an RF240, Belden has three models: 7808A (the commercial version), 7808R (with fire retardant lining), 7808WB (for outdoors, for its CPE lining with anti-humidity gel). For cellular signal amplifiers in residential projects, Belden has not only the 8240, an RG58 gauge cable, but also the connectors (DB58BNC) and the compression tool (DBPSAKIT), so that the installer can finish the cable in the field, and provide a more complete solution for his client."
In wireless microphones, the range was expanded with the 9258, a coaxial RG8X caliber that supports good distance with minimal attenuation due to the use of pure copper and insulation with gas injection. In addition, its multi-row driver allows handling with greater flexibility, facilitating agility in the installation. If required for broadcast transmitters, Belden introduced a new low-loss coaxial for broadcast transmitters: 7810WB.
Similar to the popular 7810A, it is a version with poly-ethylene lining and gel that completely blocks water outdoors. In addition, this cable retains the minimum attenuation with a guaranteed VSWR of -19dB, without being affected by temperature changes or by jaloneo. And thanks to its combined shielding (sheet + mesh) the cable has a margin of 100dB against interference (EMI/RFI).
Finally, the American manufacturer shared the technical advantages of the 9913: "It is the best seller among security integrators. For several reasons: its sheet is glued to the insulator to avoid wrinkles in the connectorization (Belden patent). The mesh is 90% thick to avoid interference noise (and it is also copper with stane bath to prevent moisture from entering), the attenuation is minimal (at 30 meters, only 2.6dB @ 400Mhz), supports a very wide temperature range, and allows a voltage of up to 300 pounds!", said Juanma Cortes, Belden Audiovisual.
