Latin America. Earlier this year, Samsung announced the Galaxy Fold, the first foldable device and the start of an all-new mobile category. Since then, the company has made improvements to the Galaxy Fold to ensure consumers have the best possible experience.
Samsung took the time to fully evaluate the product design, make the necessary improvements, and conduct rigorous testing to validate the changes. These design and construction improvements include:
- The top protective layer of the Infinity Flex display has extended beyond the frame, which shows that it is an integral part of the screen structure and should not be removed.
- The Galaxy Fold features additional boosters to better protect the device from external particles without losing the features of its unique foldable experience:
- The upper and lower parts of the hinge area have been reinforced with newly added protective caps.
- Additional layers of metal have been included under the Infinity Flex display to reinforce the protection of the display.
- The space between the hinge and body of the Galaxy Fold has been reduced.
Along with these improvements, Samsung has also continuously worked to improve the overall user experience of the Galaxy Fold, including optimizing more apps and services for its unique foldable user experience.
Samsung is conducting final product testing to make the Galaxy Fold available to consumers starting in September in select markets. Availability details will be shared as the launch approaches.
