Latin America. The project carried out in the new District Cinematheque of Bogotá, carried out by the company Seel, was the winner of the AV Latino Contest in its 2019 version. The winner was announced last Thursday, August 15 within the framework of InfoComm Mexico.
The project included the design, implementation and integration of the audiovisual infrastructure for the new Cinematheque in Bogotá, Colombia. This infrastructure has different spaces dedicated to promoting dissemination and dialogue around audiovisual development such as:
• three cinemas
• a "black box" for the experimentation of different audiovisual disciplines
• creation and training laboratories
• a sound workshop
• an image workshop
• an early childhood room
• a room for teenagers
• a Library specialized in cinema and audiovisual media
• a room for volume animation projects
• a gallery.
The integration of all resources meant the synergy and interaction of all spaces with the possibility of functioning independently or integrally. This is how the challenge of interconnecting all the cinemas was the main premise of the integration of the Cinematheque of Bogotá. To achieve this, network-based audio and video technologies were implemented, which allowed the distribution of signals among all the spaces of the Cinematheque.
In the design process, the client's needs were documented in each of the aforementioned spaces and a cutting-edge audiovisual proposal was elaborated, which would allow users to have quality audiovisual experiences.
The prize of the AV Latino Contest was received by Federico Bausone, president of Crestron Latin America on behalf of the company Seel.
