InfoComm Mexico tripled its commercial and educational offer

Mexico. The ninth edition of InfoComm Mexico came to an end with a positive balance in which a greater variety of exhibiting companies stands out, a robust educational program with more than 70 specialized conferences and the simultaneous realization of DataNet Mexico and the TecnoTelevisión Mexico Congress.

Both events complemented, both the exhibition of brands, products and services, as well as the availability of information and the possibility of generating new commercial relationships among the attendees. InfoComm Mexico 2019 was held August 14-16 at the WTC in Mexico City with a cumulative audience of 5,788 participants.

On this occasion, the exhibition floor of the three events hosted more than 110 exhibitors, covering an area of 7,000m2, which represents an outstanding achievement for the organizers.

"Since our first edition, the event has grown at a good pace, both on the exhibition floor, and in the quantity and quality of the educational program. We work to broaden the landscape of the event by attracting markets of complementary technologies such as networks, data and structured cabling with the offer of DataNet Mexico. And this year, we included the world of video and broadcast production with the realization of the first edition of TecnoTelevisión Mexico," said Víctor Alarcón, Project Manager of InfoComm Latin America.

As usual, the educational program aroused great interest, as it had the participation of academic experts and professional associations, as well as specialists from different companies in the audiovisual integration industry, IT, television production and digital media. In total, 1,675 participants gathered for the more than 70 conference sessions presented in the agendas of InfoComm, DataNet and TecnoTelevisión.

"The educational part has been central, because it is an opportunity to catch up on technologies and trends, which helps to understand how the market will behave in the near future. In the last three years, together with AVIXA, we have placed special emphasis on vertical markets and applications such as digital signage, AV technology for religious temples, smart home, unified communications, collaboration; control and monitoring centers and rooms," added Víctor Alarcón.

The TecnoTelevisión Congress, focused on trends and solutions for the production of audiovisual content, signal distribution, storage of video files, among others, represented the most relevant novelty of the event. In the opinion of Richard Santa, coordinator of TecnoTelevisión, it was decided to join InfoComm because of the natural convergence that exists between its industries.

"For that reason, this year we decided to replicate the experience gained in Colombia. As the first time, we are satisfied with the results, we had a good reception of the ten conferences that formed our academic program with topics of production and post-production on television; new technologies that help set the tone for the future," said Richard Santa.

"The objectives set were met. The results were positive; the profile that visited us was correct, people showed interest in the topics taught, and our proposal will be known more and more", concluded the coordinator of TecnoTelevisión.

For its part, DataNet Mexico, the exhibition and congress of Network, Voice and Data technologies, focused on designers, installers, integrators, manufacturers and end users of the IT sector; added one more year as part of the event.

According to Alejandra García, Project Manager of DataNet Mexico, the 2019 edition left the organizers very satisfied, as the exhibition was improved in every way, the number and quality of the exhibitors grew, including the design of their spaces. "It is the second edition of the event independently and in partnership with InfoComm. From the first day we had an excellent influx of attendees with constant flow, with a high quality in the conversations and contacts that our exhibitors have made, "said the head of DataNet Mexico.

"Academically, we strengthened the program and took the conferences on the same floor of the fair, which made it easier for more participants to take advantage of the thirteen open talks. In addition, we had exclusive courses of four hours of specialization in data center and passive optical networks, topics that are gaining strength for training," added Alejandra García.

According to the organizers, it has been a good idea to hold the three events in parallel, as it is clear that different industries converge and begin to integrate their different technologies, trends and concepts. For example, collaboration rooms require audiovisual integration, while at the same time requiring network, voice and data infrastructure over IP; and for its part, the creation and transmission of content is part of the communication processes that the current world demands in any commercial, educational or entertainment activity.

"Thanks to the good response of exhibitors when booking their spaces for 2020, the tenth edition of InfoComm Mexico is assured. It is our largest fair in the region and, although we still have a long way to grow, the stability of the Mexican economy gives us confidence to move forward. The AV integration industry is in full development, we are committed to showing its benefits to new customers and users, as these technologies will help us to be more productive, to communicate and understand each other better, in addition to generating savings in many ways, "concluded Víctor Alarcón of InfoComm Latin America.

Under the joint organization of AVIXA (The Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) and AVI Latin America magazine, the next appointment of the event will be InfoComm Colombia 2019, which will be held from October 23 to 25, at the Gran Salón de Corferias, in the city of Bogotá.

The tenth edition of InfoComm Mexico is scheduled for August 19-21, 2020, at the WTC in Mexico City.
