NAB. Following the declaration of a Coronavirus pandemic, the National Associaton of Broadcasters, NAB, organizer of nab Show, announced that the event will not be held in the month of April as planned.
NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith said that after carefully monitoring coronavirus developments in recent weeks, both in the United States and internationally, understanding health concerns and after consulting with industry partners and exhibitors, they decided not to hold the fair in April.
The executive did not announce a new date. "We are currently considering a number of possible alternatives to create the best possible experience for our community. We are weighing the best potential path forward, and we ask for your patience as we do so. We are committed to exploring all possible alternatives so that we can provide a productive environment where the industry can engage with the latest technology, listen to industry thought leaders, and make the game-changing connections that propel our industry forward."
He concluded that "I want to emphasize that, despite our disappointment at the way this year's Show has been affected by public health concerns globally, we are more excited than ever about the future of NAB Show and our relationship with you."
