Telelogos launches Channels for new ways of working

Latin America. Organizations need to stay in touch, inform, connect, and bring their employees together. Increased mobility and remote working have made it even more important for companies to have effective internal communication.

Today, there are many methods of communication. Employees are inundated with various sources of information: intranet, corporate social networks, emails, new collaboration tools, etc. Internal communication is often choked or lost within this flow, and employees can lose important information because of this.

"The idea of developing this new software came to us during the first lockdown, particularly through conversations with our customers and who were looking for a way to intensify their communication with their employees who worked from home. They alerted us to the difficulties they found in drawing the attention of their employees to certain critical messages with sufficient certainty," said Christophe Billaud, Managing Director of Telelogos.

Transform your employees' workstations into internal communication channels.
Channels allows you to communicate essential or urgent information directly on computer workstations, without changing work habits or adding an additional communication tool.

"For Channels, we have worked closely with a group of important customers and pilot partners to build a solution that meets their needs. The challenge? Build a solution that allows all departments of the company (Communication, IT, HR, general resources, etc.) to communicate with employees in a specific way, so that important messages are not lost, while integrating into the existing infrastructure without adding an additional tool or needing training," commented Christophe Billaud.

In particular, Channels allows through push notifications directly on the workstation to create a news / announcement or highlight an important communication element, which may already exist (intranet, survey, document, etc.).

"An example lived by a customer: during a cyberattack, they found themselves totally helpless because they had no way to urgently contact all users to inform them of the threat and give them instructions on how to stop the spread of this virus."

Thanks to Channels, it is also possible to communicate through other functionalities of the workstation: for example, transforming the lock screen into a means of communication, or customizing the background according to the current situation of the company.

"Channels is particularly powerful because it is operational immediately and can be deployed in any company without changing equipment or infrastructure. It uses existing standard workstation features to communicate more efficiently, making transmitted information essential, without having to train employees or disrupt their work habits," added Christophe Billaud.
