Investment in AI and digitalization, key for companies

ikusi, inteligencia artificialMexico. Artificial Intelligence, AI, is a reality for companies in Mexico and in the world. Its adoption, hand in hand with the digitalization of services, will be part of the new scenario to which companies will have to adapt, especially in the face of a global environment in which physical interactions continue to be limited.

This was one of the conclusions reached, as part of the virtual event "Main technological trends for companies in 2021", in which Ikusi, a company specialized in integration, digitalization, cybersecurity and technological development services, presented to the media some trends that are expected in a global environment immersed in the use of new technologies.

In this event, the director of Ikusi Mexico, Gustavo Valdez, placed special emphasis on the need that companies, mainly SMEs, will have to digitize their services in the face of a world that is being restructured according to health measures, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. "Many companies were not prepared to invest in digitization technologies, and the situation was forcing them. Now, adapting to the digital world has become a necessity when many companies saw it only as an option, "said the director of Ikusi.

Gustavo Valdez also pointed out that the use of automation and advanced image recognition to make physical interactions more efficient, effective and safe for employees, will be another trend that will become relevant during this year. "Many companies will turn even more to strategic technology platforms equipped with automation systems and even artificial intelligence," he said.

For his part, Aurelio Sánchez, Director of Strategy and New Products at Ikusi Mexico, indicated that at least 34 percent of the adoption of AI by companies in the Americas is driven by the desire to stay ahead of their competitors. In addition, he pointed out that 72 percent of companies consider that the adoption of Machine Learning is a fundamental component to maintain and make their operations more efficient. "Machine learning models applied to companies will become increasingly sophisticated. This technology will help companies discover patterns, reveal anomalies and make predictions efficiently, to make the best decisions, and in a timely manner," he said.

Similarly, Aurelio Sánchez referred to the Zero Trust Architecture, as one of the guiding axes of technology applied to companies in 2021, indicating that it is important to have a lot of prevention, as there are more and more attacks and vulnerabilities in the digital environment. He recalled that Mexico is the 9th country that presents the most cyberattacks, so the adoption of technologies and platforms that provide business security will also be a fundamental need.

It should be noted that with respect to the adoption and integration of new technologies for companies, Ikusi provides a value proposition based on the integration capacity, backed by more than 45 years of experience. Ikusi is a fundamental player in the digital evolution because it accompanies companies and governments in their processes, helping them to overcome the challenges that this transformation represents.
