Latin America. AVIXA announced the second edition of the AV Experience Awards program, the awards that recognize the most innovative projects in which content, space and audiovisual technology are integrated to enrich the experiences offered to the public in various spaces and situations. The call to submit proposals for participation in the awards is officially open.
"Last year, AVIXA created the AV Experience Awards to reward results-driven projects, which answer the question: how does audiovisual technology help achieve the desired experience?" said Joé Lloyd, Senior Director of Communications at AVIXA. "In its first year, we saw projects in which audiovisual elements were applied in imaginative ways in spaces around the world, from New York to Copenhagen, from London to Nanjing. We look forward to witnessing the work of the talented audiovisual community again."
The different categories of the program show how careful design and execution achieve the different objectives of the projects.
- Best Moving Art Experience: It celebrates the use of audiovisual technology within art, whether it's to surprise the audience, create a centerpiece in a cultural showcase, energize people, revitalize a functional space, or display information in a stimulating way.
- Best In-Person Experience: It recognizes the strategic use of audiovisual elements to motivate potential attendees to go out into the real world to experience something they can't see, do, or feel anywhere else. These are unique experiences, typically temporary or of limited time that must be physically attended to live them.
- Best Individualized Experience: It highlights applications where technology creates personalized experiences. For example, the individualized greeting for the guest of a hotel through digital media in their room, digital signage in a store that modifies its content based on the demographics of visitors or a university classroom where technology responds to the particular settings of a professor.
- Best Immersive Experience: It recognizes projects with illusory or simulated environments that envelop people in a multi-sensory experience through the combination of the use of content, space and technology.
- Best Flexible Space Experience: In this category, the jury looks for audiovisual solutions that contribute to creating multipurpose spaces that are constantly changing, adapt in a simple way and facilitate the activities that occur within them.
- Best Collaborative Work Experience: Look for the best audiovisual applications that bring people as close as possible through technology, to communicate and share, when they can not be gathered face to face and in a real way.
Projects can be registered for the AV Experience Awards by anyone involved in their realization, whether their creator, creative or technological agency, in addition to the client himself. This includes communication and branding agencies, experience design firms, audiovisual consultants, designers and integrators, audiovisual technology manufacturers, among others.
With the support of other like-minded industry organizations around the world, including the Association of Luxury Suite Directors, the Hospitality Technology Next Generation, and the European University Information Systems Organization; the AV Experience Awards become a great reflector for the promotion of the finalist and award winning projects in the different specific vertical markets.
To be eligible for the competition, projects must have been completed or completed in the period between January 1, 2019 and February 15, 2021. The call to submit applications for participation is currently open and will close on March 12, 2021. For more information and to apply, visit avxawards.avixa.org.
