Latin America. Christie introduced the Mirage SST-6P, a dual-head, 18,000 lumens 3D and 6-Primary (6P) pure laser RGB projection system that doubles the on-screen brightness of lamp-based 30,000 lumens 3D projection systems. The new solution is designed to project sharp, colorful and bright images of the highest quality in theme parks, attractions or giant screen domes.
This dual-head, 6P 3D projection system uses two groups of primary RGB lasers with slightly off-center wavelengths: one directed to the right eye and the other to the left. Reusable passive 3D glasses filter the different wavelengths and send, without shutter, the light to the corresponding eye. The result is a natural and comfortable 3D visual experience. It is a system that projects light on the screen with a degree of efficiency of 90%, compatible with white screen to melt the multiprojection matrices so common in domes or in dark ride type attractions (haunted castles, ghost train, etc.), or in the so-called flying theaters or flying theaters.
The system uses two fiber-coupled projection heads, with coolers and external light sources. The projection heads are silent, compact and lightweight, and generate a very low heat level, less than 2400 BTU each. With the possibility of omnidirectional orientation and solid-state lighting, the Mirage SST-6P has been designed with the flexibility required to install projection systems in harsh environments in mind. It ensures 30,000 hours practically maintenance-free with operation at 80% brightness.
The Christie Mirage SST-6P has the Christie Twist tool built into the system itself, and is compatible with Christie Mystique, a software solution for camera-based automatic alignment, and Christie Guardian for invisible and real-time automatic correction of molten images without interrupting the projection of the content.
