Chauvet launches Ovation Rêve E-3 to create colors and whites

chauvet, ovation, Latin America. Chauvet Professional presented its new solution, the Ovation Rêve E-3, a next-generation ellipsoidal, the brightest in its class, which creates an unlimited range of vivid colors and variable whites. Incorporating advanced LED technology, the versatile luminaire allows theaters, broadcast studios, places of worship and other users to get more for their investment in lighting by functioning as a variable unit of color and white reproduction.

The Ovation Rêve E-3 performs this dual function without sacrificing brightness or performance. By creating whites with a 95+ CRI and a high TM-30 RF, it offers a brightness level equal to that of a 750-1000W incandescent lamp. It also features a linear CCT setting with +/- Green to match other light sources on a piece of equipment, and color temperature presets from 2800K to 8000K with high CRI and CQS.

Brightness levels are even higher when the Rêve E-3 is creating realistic colors, ranging from soft pastels to eye-catching primary, with its RGBAM LED motor. Its "mint" colored LED has been shown to be more efficient at producing a much brighter output, as well as higher quality whites and colors.

"The Rêve E-3 represents an important breakthrough for Ovation," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. "Being able to create colors in addition to whites, reduces the number of accessories needed in a production. This saves space on the platform and warehouse, as well as on the truck, making it an ideal accessory for our industry as we emerge from the pandemic."

Whether used to create whites or variable colors, the Rêve E-3 has the output to ensure uniform coverage from any suspension point in theaters of all sizes. Thanks to its precision optics, the equipment offers almost flawless edge-to-edge focus to minimize any change in focus between colors.

Discreet in its operation, the Rêve E-3 is practically silent, which makes it very suitable for applications where ultra-quiet operation is valued. Selectable fan speeds allow even the faintest sounds to be completely eliminated, while the device's adjustable PWM ensures the operation of flickering in the camera.

A clever design innovation makes it possible to shorten the Rêve E-3's bra without removing it to provide a convenient solution for hanging in transmission studios or in any room with a low ceiling. The equipment's integrated handle makes focusing faster and easier and, as an additional time saver, its focus mode can be accessed from a button.

The new and advanced Rêve E-3 works with all lens tubes used in Ovation's existing functions, as well as lenses from a few other manufacturers, saving costs for anyone who adds this innovative product to a set.

"Our goal in developing this ellipsodal is to give our customers greater flexibility," Chauvet said. "We want to offer them a luminaire that can create both white and coloured light, a luminaire that can offer greater performance and, at the same time, be silent. This is our way of delivering greater value to the market at a time when value is needed more than ever."
