Audinate announced the availability of its Dante Virtual Soundcard software for Mac and Windows computers, which is now optimized for Apple Silicon processors, such as the M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max, as well as the latest update to Microsoft's Windows 11 operating system, released last year. That is, it can operate on the latest generation of computers and operating systems.
Then, the operation of Dante Virtual Soundcard consists of integrating it into the computer, through the Ethernet port and, once this connection is ready, the user can record, process and play back using any audio application and any combination of Dante-enabled devices. In that sense, a great advantage of this virtual soundcard is that it does not require snakes, converters, cables, special connectors or additional external devices.

This software, along with the Dante network, are an integrated solution for recording and distributing audio, whether in an installed location, such as a conference room, government procedure space, religious gatherings or at a live sound event. Thus, Dante Virtual Soundcard is designed to work with popular digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Nuendo, Cubase, Reaper and Logic. Similarly it operates with consumer applications such as iTunes, Windows Media Player and Skype. In addition, this virtual sound card appears in computers as an ordinary Core Audio, ASIO or WDM device, so it does not require special settings.
