Brazil. Absolut Technologies installed an audio and video system as an integral solution for the LifeHub of the pharmaceutical company Bayer, located in São Paulo. The system is located in a space that can be used as 3 separate rooms, or joined into an auditorium.
Specifically, the individual rooms have a capacity of 48, 56 and 60 people, but when they are integrated it is possible to attend up to 220 transmissions in a single event, whether remote or face-to-face. So, for the installation company without this equipment there is no meeting. Absolut expressly describes them as "high-performance multipurpose spaces with audio and video technology resources".
Panasonic projectors, LG TVs, Yamaha mixers and amplifiers, Creston panels, wireless network audio with Dante protocol and network video (made by Crestom VMX equipment), as well as image collaboration via Kramer, are part of the devices that were integrated into this space, which responds to the needs of the company, but also to be an environment of collaboration with different agents and allies.
It's worth noting that each room has two cameras on the ceiling and two high-performance ceiling microphones, so people can talk from anywhere in the room and it sounds like they're wearing headphones.
This integration, which was delivered in June 2021, came to propose great changes, previously the space was full of HDMI cabling. "For this reason people had to stick to the pulpit to make the presentation and, when they made a transmission, it was necessary to use the cameras of their own laptops. Nowadays, for presentations there is freedom of movement because the system is networked and wireless. The audio and video come from the room itself," Absolut said.
The project consists of three environments, so that when used individually, each space plays its content (audio and video) completely wirelessly and independently. But when used together, one room is combined with another and the resource of the last room is added to that of the first, so that the rooms become larger and larger, until they can become an auditorium.
This auditorium is crucial, as it is part of the spaces of Bayer's LifeHub, it was "designed to be an environment focused on promoting the connection of the ecosystem around innovation issues, in a collaborative and accessible way for all". So these rooms become auditorium without one of the central spaces of the place.
This project has an automatic system that can be activated by a keyboard, installed on the wall or an iPad, which as a second option, remains in the user's possession when necessary to make a presentation or videoconference.
Added value
The difference between this system and other options on the market, according to Absolut, is that in addition to the practicality of the user having in their hands the control of the audio, the camera and the presentation, everything is done wirelessly.
"The presenter has total freedom within the space and even with separate rooms, it is possible to broadcast simultaneously in all environments. When it is necessary to do it in another way, it is also possible to separate them. Another differential is the total control of the room, which includes lights, audio and video."
Installation challenges
Absolut said there were no logistical or technical difficulties during the installation, but because it was a restricted access environment, it was necessary to train its team to comply with Bayer's sanitary and internal standards.
Finally, faced with this integration, absolut stressed that he carried out an exhaustive study with the client to understand their needs and develop a project with solutions that translate into the best benefits and provide the best result. An installation that started from scratch and refers to it as "an absolute success", because every day the agendas of the rooms are full and work without problems, which proves its positive impact.
