Colombia. The emblematic University of Santiago de Cali completed the complete remodeling of its TE-USACA Auditorium. This is considered the most important cultural and academic center of the city of Cali. Engineer Andres Felipe Albarracin de Yamaki and Iván Fernando Martinez Manrique, Commercial Advisor of Audiocentro Electronics Cali, specified the implementation of Chauvet products.
The mobile lights of CHAUVET DJ are part of the lighting platform were supplied by Yamaki, distributor of CHAUVET Professional and CHAUVET DJ products for the Colombian territory.
In total, 4 Intimidator Spot 260, 2 Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC, 3 Eve P 100 WW, 3 Eve E 50 Z and 8 SlimPAR Q12BT were installed, all luminaires belonging to the CHAUVET DJ brand. In addition, a Hurricane 1600 smoke machine was installed, also by CHAUVET DJ. All lighting equipment was controlled through a ChamSys console.

Once the University of Santiago de Cali invited him to Audiocentro Electronics Cali, Iván Fernando Martinez Manrique was in charge of presenting the lighting solutions for the new TE-USACA auditorium.
"We started by taking a photographic record of the auditorium, measurements and details of its architecture, we requested information on the concept that the University wanted to express and the objectives of the lighting and then meet and together with our market development engineers, look for a proposal adjusted to the needs of the University, both in the technical and financial part, but most importantly, adjusted to the pedagogical, academic and cultural demands of the University. And for us the CHAUVET DJ brand was an obvious choice due to its technological development, its presentation, design, performance, guarantee and support," said Carlos Alberto Martinez Humanez.
"The lighting systems of CHAUVET DJ installed in the University are valuable pieces to achieve greater visibility of the spaces. We sought to enhance these spaces, allowing the audience to accurately capture the narrative and, of course, the protagonists or actors raise the quality of the expression or drama," said Martinez Humanez. CHAUVET DJ luminaires are used to illuminate all university plays and cultural events by the University of Santiago de Cali, such as events organized by the Colombian government, private companies and other educational centers.
According to the Administrator of Audiocentro Electronics Cali, "although it is true that the civil works presented some delays, there was no impact on our plans. The equipment was in time for assembly and commissioning was carried out in a timely manner. The trainings on the provision of each equipment and induction to the university staff for the management of chauvet systems was carried out according to the times planned by Audiocentro."

The remodeling and technological update ended last October, when the lighting plant was incorporated. The inauguration of the TE-USACA Auditorium of the Theater of the University of Santiago de Cali was during the first week of November 2019.
