Latin America. AVIXA will hold InfoComm 2020 Connected, its first completely virtual fair, from June 16 to 18, 2020. This event will showcase audiovisual (AV) products and solutions from leading manufacturers, offer trainings and presentations from industry leaders, and provide opportunities for participants to connect with other professionals from around the world.
"We couldn't imagine a year without our June show, where audiovisual industry professionals have the opportunity to learn more about new technologies and solutions, meet each other, and share the challenges and successes of the business," said David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA, CTS, CAE, RCDD. "Since people don't have the ability to travel to attend an event in person, we'll bring InfoComm directly to them. As an industry in full tune with virtual collaboration, we are excited that everyone can join this new edition of InfoComm."
In this virtual edition of the InfoComm 2020 Connected fair, audiovisual technology companies for professional applications will reveal their products and solutions through virtual exhibitions, and many exhibitors will present live and on-demand briefings. Through Artificial Intelligence functions, participants will receive suggestions of the exhibitors' offer, based on their previously expressed interests. Participants will be able to personalize their experience and use an agenda scheduling tool to request and arrange individual or group meetings.
InfoComm 2020 Connected's educational program will cover new technology trends, design and integration best practices, and topics on business needs, with a focus on the effects of COVID-19 on the industry. AVIXA CEO David Labuskes will open the event with a lecture on how to find the ideal normal in the new hybrid environment of the physical and digital world (Tuesday, June 16, 2:00PM EDT). Additionally, Sean Wargo, senior director of AVIXA Market Intelligence, will speak about the state of the industry, in a session in which he will point out the main findings of the new IOTA (Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis) study (Wednesday, June 17, 2:00PM EDT). Jeff Day, Chairman of the AVIXA Board of Directors and Chairman of North 10 Advisors, will be joined by several colleagues from the Board of Directors for an informal talk (Thursday, June 18, 2:00PM EDT) discussing the future of the audiovisual industry. All three sessions will include a live Q&A segment.
"For AVIXA, it is important to be able to easily adapt and create a new sustainable virtual experience to bring together AV professionals from around the world," said Rochelle Richardson, CEM, Senior Vice President of Exhibitions and Events for AVIXA. "With InfoComm 2020 Connected, we will expand our reach and offer a robust program for all regions and AV industry professionals."
To make it a truly global event, InfoComm 2020 Connected will be held daily in an extended schedule, starting at 6:00 AM and up to 10:00 PM EDT. The three days will have regional programming for Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific. This includes regular German-language sessions, state-of-the-industry lectures in Italian and French, Spanish-language discussions on the relationship between content, space and technology for the Latin American market, and Q&A sessions with AVIXA instructors and EMEA regional managers.
For the three panel discussions on "Content, Space and Technology in a World in Transformation", AVIXA will bring together nine Latin American professionals from Brazil, Colombia, Spain and Mexico (June 16, 17 and 18, 3:00PM EST), representatives of integrating companies, designers and end users of the integrated audiovisual experiences industry.
InfoComm 2020 Connected will also present the "New Tech Lightning Rounds," where exhibitors will showcase their most engaging products in categories including conferencing and collaboration, audio, higher education, and more. Participants will be able to compare between the various solutions and get live answers to their questions.
For their part, the winners of the inaugural edition of the AV Experience Awards will gather in a panel discussion (Tuesday, June 16) to share their stories on how to use audiovisual resources to create multiple experiences, from dynamic art to completely individual ones. Among the finalists is the Brazilian company KWM Informática, which competes with the Itau Customer Experience Center project, in the category of Best Collaborative Work Experience.
The virtual fair will offer multiple networking opportunities, from council meetings to AVIXA Women's Council breakfast, as well as live group talks and evening entertainment. Additionally, the annual AVIXA Awards ceremony (Wednesday, June 17, 5:00PM EDT) will recognize the AV professionals who make the biggest impact on the industry.
InfoComm 2020 Connected is available free of charge for those who wish to participate in the various activities. In addition, the platform will remain open from June 19 to August 21 to browse exhibitor presentations and watch sessions on demand. Registration for participants will be available from May 12 in infocommshow.org
