Latin America. For the Epson company, the first months of 2022 have been very positive, thanks to the fact that there are many projects on the table. Juan Campos, senior product manager for Latin America, explained that "the accelerated vaccination in most countries of the region, has allowed corporations to return to their offices, Events reopen their doors and entertainment venues such as Museums, Cinemas, Theaters are capturing many customers."
On the segments that have grown the most in these first months of the year, he commented that his partners report a good recovery in relation to people looking for experiences, they consider that after being kept for more than 18 months in their homes, they are now looking for where to go.
One of those projects that help to live experiences and in which Epson technology was used is from the Serrata Group in Colombia. This is Frenessí, the new gastronomic proposal of the Group, a virtual reality restaurant that seeks to merge technology with haute cuisine, to take diners on a journey through countless worlds created by 8 Epson L1070 projectors.
The restaurant is a room with a large white table in the center, where 14 diners can attend. It is surrounded by walls, which then become landscapes and places created through Epson projectors, located both on the table and on the walls, to achieve a 360° effect. The projection is similar to a function and the menu consists of 11 steps. Each world varies with the dishes served and the diner lives the experience in all worlds.
Juan Campos stressed that in InfoComm Show 2022, they will have many novelties, which, together with the good execution in the region, will help them maintain leadership in Projectors. Among others, there is the world's lightest and smallest 20,000 lumen projector, EB-PU2220B, 64% smaller and 50% lighter than its predecessor Pro L20000UNL.
"Additionally, we are introducing software and peripherals that will help professional installations, as well as reduce installation times and product monitors," he concluded.
