KNX Awards 2022 offers new categories

KNX Awards

Latin America. In April 2022, the KNX Association began searching for the world's best KNX projects for smart homes and buildings. The KNX Awards, which are awarded every two years, have established themselves as an institution within the industry.

The KNX community once again demonstrated its great innovation, creativity and knowledge in implementing the ambitious KNX projects that have been delivered. The jury has deliberated and presents 5 nominees for each of the 11 categories.

The winners will be announced at the online celebration of the KNX Awards 2022 on September 27. For a complete list of all nominees along with details of each project and more news about the KNX Awards, visit https://awards.knx.org

New categories for innovative KNX use and project types
The KNX Awards are not a new competition. For the fourteenth time, the KNX Association is paving the way for the world's most ambitious KNX projects. Technical refinement, innovative use of KNX or the use of different manufacturers have always been considered more important than the magnitude of the project.

Despite this, we wanted to make sure that installers in the residential sector were not discouraged when it came to showing their KNX smart home results. That is why we have decided to divide the old "International" category into the following two categories: Smart Home Award and Smart Building Award.

Another newcomer is the Innovation Award. The KNX Association is always keen to be at the forefront of the latest technological advancements in the industry and therefore wants to reward KNX projects that do the same. In this edition, the Innovation Award has focused on KNX projects that have been implemented through the KNX Secure and KNX IoT systems.

The KNX community will serve as a jury in 2 categories
As in previous editions of the KNX Awards, all nominated projects also have the opportunity to apply for a second prize called the People's Choice Award. The KNX community will be able to select their favorite KNX project through our special voting platform. For the first time, everyone will have the opportunity to be part of the jury in the new KNX Product Award category.

A selection of new KNX products will be presented and visitors to the special voting platform will be able to show their appreciation for the KNX product they liked the most. In this way, the winning KNX member can get additional recognition for their efforts in developing innovative KNX products. The voting platform will be active during the month of August through the link https://contest.tools.knx.org/vote

KNX Awards 2022 chooses, once again, the digital celebration
In 2020, knx association took the opportunity to organize the first online edition of the KNX Awards, a decision welcomed by many and seen by thousands of people who were able to attend this high-level event in the simplest way from the comfort of their own homes. The world is becoming increasingly digital, not only in our homes and workplaces, but also the experience of our events. That is why, on September 27, the KNX Awards will be presented online again so that everyone can see them. For all those interested who want to join the event online, they can do so through https://awards.knx.org
