Mexico. The Mexican distributor Gonher Pro launched the new midas Heritage-HD96-24 audio console, which is now available for marketing in the country.
"From the beginning this console was conceived as a completely innovative product. Of course it has the heritage of the family and is a product that seeks to go further, a complete evolution to digital consoles with all the technology that is available at hand and with a thought of adaptability to the professional user. We are convinced that it will become the new standard," said Rogelio Yescas, Sales Manager of the Mexican distributor.
For his part, Roberto Barillas, Specialist of Live Sound Applications of Gonher Pro, mentioned: "This console has the heritage of Midas, when naming it Heritage it has to be something big, and so it is. It has many capabilities such as inputs and outputs, but above all it has a lot of innovation and development. It pushes all the boundaries we know today on digital consoles."
He added: "Among the main features is artificial intelligence with which you can predict everything that is coming to the console and be able to process afterwards and send suggestions to the output."
Chase McKnight, User Solutions Lead for Live & Sound at Music Tribe, detailed some features of the new console: "In the United States, 400 consoles have been sold so far this year. It is being bet that this console is installed in the venues and there are already 30 venues in which the console is already installed and that it is already a standard in the venues of the United States. "
Sound engineer Edgar "Nico" Morales, who was in charge of the controls of the concert of the band Old Days Band & Strings, made during the presentation and which used the new Midas Heritage-HD96-24 console, said: "As we did in the old school it is very good to have the controls in physical as well. It is quite friendly to handle between those colors of the controls with respect to the equalizer, for example. It has too many very good new things, it accommodates me too much. Sound is no longer a matter of power, but of range and that's what this console brings."
It was detailed that the console has 28 faders, 144 flexible inputs, 96 flexible auxiliary shipments, 24 dedicated matrix buses, two monitor buses, two individual buses and 24 effect racks with TC Electronic processors and new emulations of classic audio processors, as well as 64-bit processing with Graviton Engine and 96 kHz sampling frequency, in addition to a 21" Full HD multitouch screen.
