Mexico. In a ceremony full of emotion and enthusiasm, the prestigious CALA Awards celebrated its 2023 edition on August 17 at 6:30 p.m., in which Convergint was announced as the winner of the coveted award for Best AV Project in Latin America.
The CALA Awards, known for recognizing excellence and innovation in the audiovisual industry, brought together leaders, technology experts and enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate outstanding achievements in this ever-evolving field.
Convergint, with its MIS modernization project Ceará n the MIS modernization project, was responsible for offering state-of-the-art technology and new ideas that not only impacted the visitor experience by generating more interactivity, but also improved the management of digital archives and the preservation of the collection, a matter of great importance, especially since it concerns the cultural heritage of Ceará.
In addition, the project has also included one of the most innovative spaces of the MIS: the immersive room. Stage of exhibitions, shows, concerts and events, allows a total immersion experience. To achieve this, Convergint installed 10 projectors of 10,000 and 20,000 lumens. The result is a resolution of more than 11,000 pixels. The equipment is connected to a control center that handles 360º images, that is, they reach the entire place: walls and floors. The system also features high-definition audio for complete immersion and creating a fully interactive environment.
The awards ceremony, which took place at a luxury event venue in Mexico City, was filled with exciting moments. Attendees had the opportunity to explore various applications of Augmented and Virtual Reality in an interactive exhibition prior to the gala. The ceremony itself was a combination of recognitions, inspirational speeches and moments of celebration, culminating in the announcement of the winner of the Best AV Project in the region.
The panel of judges, composed of leading experts and professionals in the field of VA, rigorously evaluated the submitted candidacies and recognized that the work of the five finalists Matizzo S.A.S- Technological Modernization of the Elliptical Hall and 10 Committees of the House of Representatives, TRISON NECSUM- Costanera Experience, Nice High Technology in Visual Communication- Felipe Angeles International Airport- APOC, ACT Group- Technological Renewal Institute of the Federal Judiciary.
In relation to these recognitions, Richard Santa, academic coordinator of IntegraTEC and editor of the magazine AVI Latin America, argued that "since 2013 AVI Latin America has recognized the outstanding work of integrators in Latin America. Seeing in 2023 the growth of the participation of integrators throughout the region, with projects that stand out for their innovation and technical quality, as well as the evolution to the CALA Awards fills us with pride and encourages us to continue recognizing the work of integrators".

According to Anselmo Romero, CEO of Convergint-Mexico "this recognition is to a whole team from presales, commercial, operations, supply, services, broadcats, engineering". In addition, he thanked IntegraTEC and AVI Latin America for the recognition as the best AV project.
