Barco Introduced New Projectors for Simulation

barco

Latin America. The company Barco presented its new projectors for simulation, which expand the F400 line, which are characterized by their power, speed and precision.

There are two new devices, the F400-4K, a laser projector with up to 4K resolution and the FS400-4K adds NVG stimulation to the mix. They join the F400-N4K projectors (with resolutions up to 6K and above) to complete the portfolio. This makes the expanded F400 range the optimal choice for highly demanding simulation and training applications.

Training and simulation are arguably the most demanding market for projectors. Latency must be extremely low, image quality must be exquisite, and equipment must be durable enough to withstand the pressure of moving platforms. That's why Barco designs projectors specifically tailored to this market.

The F400 range is one of the flagship products in our comprehensive simulation portfolio and combines the high bandwidth capacity of the Pulse software architecture with the fastest processing to achieve incredibly high quality and smooth image performance with minimal latency.

High speed, high resolution
The new F400-4K's native WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution, which can be upscaled to 4K using the powerful built-in pixel shift capability, brings any simulation content to life with excellent detail and accuracy. Need even more details? Then you need the F400-N4K, with its native 4K resolution and the ability to change the pixels to 6K.

Thanks to the next-generation Barco Pulse, the F400-4K has a processing speed of up to 120Hz in native WQXGA. The F400-N4K can even reach 240Hz with a native 4K resolution. This ensures that even the fastest-moving scenarios show all the details. A dedicated FS400 series, designed for NVG stimulation applications, features a powerful IR light source with higher intensity.

Smart design for greater reliability
The smart design of the F400 series includes the use of a static phosphor plate in the lighting path instead of a phosphor wheel. This means that the F400 is a true solid-state projector with no moving parts. What's more, the unique aluminum H-beam core gives the projector a perfect weight distribution with the electronics, hardware, and software built around the core.

Maintenance personnel can access components from both above and below if needed. This also protects the F400 series against shock and vibration and makes it ideal for mounting on fast-moving platforms.

For the most extreme situations, they've even designed optional lens support kits that really reinforce the entire structure; From the external lens, through all its internal lenses to the motor with prisms and chip imager, making the range even more reliable and shock-resistant.
