Argentina. As part of a plan that seeks to revalue some buildings and strengthen the tourist corridors of the city, the capital of the department of Córdoba will equip some of the buildings and structures with digital lighting.
The installation contemplated in the Master Plan of Digital Lighting (Midic), requires the investment of about eight million Argentine pesos and should end on July 6, when one more year of the founding of the city is commemorated.
The buildings and structures that are being intervened, in a first stage of the project, are: the Civic Center, the headquarters of the provincial government, the Bicentennial bridges, the Evita Fine Arts and Emilio Caraffa Fine Arts museums, the Paseo del Buen Pastor, the Libertador Theater, the Cordoba Lottery and the Dionisi Palace.
The idea of the local government is that in the tourist area that is being intervened, visitors are guided by a set of RGB system lights, coordinated from a central command that will allow different scenes to be played every night.
In a second stage of this plan, the Historic Cabildo of the City and private buildings of which their architectural value is highlighted will also be intervened, for this, the governor of Córdoba, José Manuel de la Sota, offered tax benefits.
The official indicated that his purpose is to return to the capital of Cordoba, which bears the same name, a tourist attraction with options for its visitors, both day and night.
