International. The technology manufacturer NEC presented its Smartphone control system through voice for spaces with high noise level, which works through two microphones, one dedicated to capturing ambient noise and the other the different types of voice.
In this way, users will not need to approach the microphone to execute the functions of the device and will be able to use it in different scenarios that were previously unthinkable due to the noise around.
Akio Yamada, general director of the information and data processing department of the firm, stressed that "this innovative technology will allow the use of navigation systems despite background noise and accurately detect the user's voice commands even with the vehicle in motion."
He added that this technology will have applications for other sectors apart from Smartphones. They seek to benefit factories or stores by allowing employees to manage electronic applications through voice and be able to use their hands in other tasks.
And although this development has generated great expectation in the audio industry, the company did not specify when it will be available in the market.
