Latin America. For $180 million, Extreme Networks acquired Enterasys Networks, a business through which the former expects to increase revenue by nearly $600 million annually and is today the fourth largest provider of Ethernet networks.

The combined company becomes a leader in the networking industry with more than 12,000 customers. This union has received very good feedback from industry analysts, such as Bob Laliberte, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group, who indicated that "By combining resources and focusing on complementary technology areas, the combined entity must be able to accelerate the time to market of innovative network solutions."
