International. With a focus on color, brightness and contrast of the image, the Dolby company set out to improve the quality of TVs through its Vision line, through which it is expanding the luminance range.
This development is given thanks to a hardware that allows the development of images with higher quality of color, brightness and contrast, through the reproduction on the screen of a greater amount of luminance. New TVs today have higher luminance, but a balance between contrast and color is lacking. That's the deficiency Dolby wants to correct.
According to company sources, with its new technology more realistic images will be produced because the brightness would be something natural of the image, sharp and natural.
The idea of Dolby is not to enter to compete as a manufacturer of televisions, but to seek the support of manufacturers to use this technology. Auqnue, as with any new technology, should be expected to continue its development and find a model of mass production that allows to lower the cost.
As it was known, the first manufacturers to work with this technology would be Sharp, TLC and Vizio. In addition, at the end of 2014 would also be the first contents after agreements with Netflix, Amazon and Xbox Video, among others.
