Mexico. After identifying Mexico as a strategic place for the development of the automotive industry on this side of the world, the lighting manufacturer Hella installed a new production center with the latest technology and sustainability in Guanajuato, Mexico.
The installation of this factory required the investment of US $ 90 million and took 11 months to build. According to the company's executives, it is another step to consolidate the company's market within the automotive industry, taking advantage of the competitive advantages offered by Mexico as it is the second most important country in the Americas in the production of cars and the tenth globally.
About the new production plant, they indicated that it has a low energy consumption in the lighting segment, because, obviously, they use Hella LED lamps. In addition, water consumption is low, because the processes they will perform do not use this liquid.
In this plant, which is also characterized by not emitting air pollution and having a waste treatment plant, they expect to produce 1.2 million headlights and 2.4 million multifunctional taillights, which are used in different brands of vehicles.
