Christie, made public its acquisition of coolux GmbH, a developer and supplier of 3D image composition and rendering systems, of great international prestige and known above all for its Pandoras Box product line. As a result of the acquisition, coolux becomes part of Christie's Global Market Solutions team, although it retains its headquarters in the German city of Cologne.
Jennifer Smith, Executive Vice President of Global Market Solutions, stated that, with the acquisition, "Christie deepens its commitment to reinforce its already market leadership, now offering a total solution at the service of advanced applications such as projection mapping or broadcast, and for the creation of a wide variety of large digital canvases, stating that "our products and services and those of coolux complement each other in an absolutely natural way".
Jan Huewel, CEO of coolux and from now on, from his position as Senior Director of Processing Solutions, will report to Jennifer Smith, explained that "In a world in which visual and sound experiences are increasingly important to inspire and excite the audience, harmoniously combining and synchronizing projected content has become crucial. With today's announcement, Christie, which already has great weight in this field, gains a new high-end product line and a development team that will ensure its leading position."
