International. Korn/Ferry International, was the executive search firm chosen by CEDIA to lead the search for its new CEO. The position was created earlier this year following the announcement made by the current Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Don Gilpin, who is stepping down after 18 years leading the Association. Gilpin will remain with the Association until the new CEO is found.
CEDIA's continued growth and international expansion signals a desire to better define its executive structure to better support the organization's long-term goals. Along with the addition of the CEO position, the Board of Directors has appointed veteran Tabatha O'Connor to the position of Chief Operating Officer.
CEDIA is looking for a person with leadership experience, who shows the passion for the growth of the organization and the number of members worldwide. The new CEO will report to the Board of Directors and collaborate with the Board to forge the strategic vision of the organization.
Other key responsibilities of CEDIA's CEO will include strategic planning and governance, alliance forging, membership development, communications, as well as staff leadership.
