Enlighted arrives in Mexico with Yolk

Enlighted, Inc., a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial buildings, announced the expansion of its international operations in Mexico in close collaboration with its distribution partner, Yolk Soluciones Creativas, a subsidiary of Grupo Asercom.

"We are pleased to partner with Enlighted to lead the adoption of IoT solutions for commercial real estate in the Mexican market," said Hector Cardenas, CEO of Grupo Asercom. "Enlighted's network of smart sensors provides valuable data on how commercial buildings are being used, data that customers in the Mexican market had not been able to capitalize on until now."

"In addition to being one of the most competitive countries for production and export to the rest of the world, Mexico was an early adopter of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an outstanding program for the design, construction, maintenance and operability of high-performance green buildings," said César Ulises Treviño, CEO of Bioconstruction and Alternative Energy and former secretary of the World Green Building Council. "This model of sustainable development is based on: environmental protection, social prosperity and economic development, and Mexico has already certified 148 projects and has another 463 registered."

Enlighted's solutions not only bring a radical improvement in the energy efficiency of buildings, but also the large volumes of data collected by the smart sensor network enable other applications, such as space planning, indoor positioning and retail analysis.

"Our clients include some of the largest international corporations, many of which are investing in commercial real estate in Mexico to drive their growth in industries such as manufacturing, transportation, computing and others," said Christian Rodatus, executive vice president of Enlighted. "We rely on the expertise of local partners like Yolk Creative Solutions to most effectively deploy our commercial IoT solutions and meet the demand of this emerging market."

Enlighted and its ecosystem of partners seamlessly implement comprehensive smart sensor technology by initially installing the sensors in the existing electrical fabric.

The sensors provide unparalleled information of data thanks to the dense collection and analysis of information derived from individual movements, light and heat that, when combined, allow end customers to achieve improved efficiency and increase cost savings.

The company announced expansion to Mexico within the framework of the TecnoMultimedia InfoComm 2015 congress that takes place from August 12 to 14 in Mexico City. Enlighted has offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore and India.
