Mexico. The Home Depot Mexico, with 115 stores nationwide, is using digital media to strengthen the brand image around its Do More DIY campaign, which encourages shoppers to take on projects at home.
As part of his campaign, he sought out The Monterrey-based company Megapantallas de México, MDM, to build a digital signage network to support the initiative. MDM recommended a multi-site network powered by Navori Labs' QL professional digital signage engine.
The MDM package includes Navori Labs QL software, Android operating system media players, digital displays, and other hardware components. MDM also provided technical support and training, allowing for a rapid learning curve for The Home Depot Mexico employees who immediately began creating, programming and managing the content.
MDM is organizing QL software, leveraging its cloud-based design to reduce operating costs and eliminate systems management on the end-user side.
In addition to making the campaign closer to customers within stores, the network has proven valuable in promoting special seasonal merchandise and selling in all 115 warehouses.
The rollout included the delivery of 42-inch video screens and Android media players to each store. In 20 days, MDM mounted the screens, configured the QL software, activated the media players, and has tested and deployed all the systems across all 115 stores.
MDM also held a two-hour class so that Home Depot Mexico's system administrators could immediately begin handling content management and dissemination.
