Latin America. Gigamon announced its expansion into the Latin American market as part of the company's global growth initiatives. The company is building a presence in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
By having a local presence in these markets Gigamon and its partners can address the security and network traffic visibility challenges that impact local mobile operators, service providers, government organizations and enterprise organizations today.
As part of this growth, Gigamon has appointed a new team to drive activities in Latin America. Carlos Perea will be the Vice President of Sales for Latin America, overseeing all activities. As an experienced executive, he brings over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
"For enterprises, government organizations and service providers, increased security is an important key to the vital protection of their IT assets. A network infrastructure that does not take advantage of active visibility along with strong security is destined to fail and incur a high cost for non-compliance remediation – Gigamon solves the visibility challenges for organizations around the world, I am very excited to help build our presence in a dynamic and diverse region such as Latin America." said Carlos Perea, Gigamon's Vice President of Sales for Latin America.
As part of the expansion into the Latin American market, Gigamon has established production plants in Mexico along with Jabil, an electronics solutions company that provides electronic design and manufacturing services to electronics and technology companies. In doing so, Gigamon gains greater agility and dynamism to meet the needs of the growing information technology market.
