Latin America. At InfoComm 2016, Shure introduced the IH6500 Dual Hearing Aid Headband Microphone. This product has been designed for professional performers who prefer a microphone with built-in hearing aids. It provides excellent voice intelligibility, comfort and multiple connectivity options for use in meetings and conferences in multiple languages.
It features removable pads for easy cleaning and a flexible gooseneck microphone that rotates 270 degrees. The IH6500 is compatible with Shure's DCS 6000 Performer Series, such as IS 6132 P.
"Comfort is essential when performing interpreting work and this has been our first priority when designing the IH6500, and it is ISO compliant," said Chris Lyons, Senior Conference Product Manager at Shure.
In meetings and events, the new IH6500 allows interpreters to scroll or lean back in their chair, maintaining a consistent audio level and quality. The cardioid microphone is placed near the mouth to reduce the uptake of adjacent voices and minimize background noise. International organizations, national and regional government agencies, and those who host meetings in hotels and convention centers may incorporate the IH6500 for use in temporary events or as a permanent facility.
The included removable pads help promote hygiene, as they can be replaced when changing users. Interpreters can use the IH6500 with the microphone located on the left or right and make use of the included 3.5mm TRSS and DIN adapter cables for use with a variety of interpretation units.
The IH6500 is complemented by Shure's DCS 6000 Digital Conference System. The DCS 6000 series is powerful, expandable and flexible, allowing handling of even the largest meetings with complete control and reliability. With extensive hardware and software options, the DCS 6000 can be tailored to the specific needs or protocols of any group or organization, from town halls to global enterprises.
The IH6500 Dual Hearing Aid Headband Microphone will be available in late 2016.
