Latin America. Bose Professional reported that it has started with demonstrations of its new ShowMatchTM DeltaQTM speaker array system.
The versatile and compact ShowMatch speakers use DeltaQ, the next generation of array technology, which offers the possibility of making conventional configurations (J-array or constant curvature) and DeltaQ array configurations, facilitating selectable coverage control in the different portable, rental or fixed installation applications.
ShowMatch arrays are capable of generating a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of up to 145db (peak), and when SPL is less critical, they can achieve full coverage with fewer speakers, saving weight, dimensions, and costs.
DeltaQ technology is based on the ability to adjust the sound dispersion or "Q" of each of the loudspeakers. When used in an arrangement, a great focus on acoustic energy is achieved and it achieves greater precision when adjusting to the different areas of the public. This is an advance over traditional linear arrangements which generally have significantly less control of the sound pattern.
The ShowMatch full-range speakers will be available with different vertical dispersion options: 5, 10 or 20 degrees, with compact two-way design and four new Bose EMB2S extended high-frequency compression units and with two high-performance 8-inch bode 8-inch neodymium woofers.
It is a very versatile system, useful for both fixed installations and portable applications, with a combination of very compact loudspeakers and interchangeable sound wave dispersion guides in each of them.
The ideal complement to the system is an 18-inch subwoofer with the same width as the rest of the boxes and design with four anchor points, which will facilitate its installation, either hung with the same arrangement or installed to the floor. An NL4 connector is located on the front grille to make wiring easier for cardioid configurations. The top of the subwoofer is compatible with mounting accessories from other brands for stacked or floor-stacked configurations.
The integrated mounting system has been designed to withstand up to 24 suspended modules and has a complete line of installation accessories and devices to make horizontal dispersion more accurate: 70, 100, 120 degrees or asymmetrical horizontal at 55 degrees.
Next November, Bose Professional will release the Modeler® sound system software in its version 6.9, ready to facilitate the acoustic design process when using the new ShowMatch speakers. In addition, during the fall, Bose will launch the Bose Array Tool (BAT), a new interactive design tool that will help optimize and streamline the design of DeltaQ speaker configurations for multiple applications.
The versatility in the design of the ShowMatch arrangement will ensure the best possible sound quality for a variety of applications and configurations ranging from small clubs, religious temples or corporate events, to large performance centers or auditoriums with capacity from 5,000 to 7,500 people.
The ShowMatch DeltaQ speaker array system will be available to Bose dealers starting in November 2016. The presentations and demonstrations have started in September and will be scheduled during the rest of the year in the different countries of the world.
