InfoComm. As part of InfoComm Show Orlando, Bose Profesional will present its new premium EdgeMax ceiling mount speakers, which feature the patented Bose PhaseGuide technology with which they will achieve a wide sound coverage to fill the space in which they are installed and improve the overall sound quality, compared to the performance of conventional ceiling speakers.
Designed to mount right on the edge of the walls, EdgeMax speakers project high-frequency sounds into rooms up to 20 meters wide by using only perimeter mounting points and can effectively cover an area that would require up to four conventional cone cover models. Therefore, EdgeMax can eliminate the need to install conventional ceiling speakers in the center of rooms or mount speakers on the surface of the walls.
In addition, thanks to its unique design and consistent coverage pattern, the EdgeMax allows the installation to work more efficiently to obtain a final result of great aesthetics and sound. These speakers provide excellent voice intelligibility and full range for music, making them ideal for retail, industrial, institutional, residential, and retail applications.
EdgeMax premium speakers are available with two different horizontal coverage patterns. The EdgeMax EM90 offers a nominal horizontal coverage of 90° and is designed for ceiling mounting near the corners of the room. The EdgeMax EM180 provides a nominal horizontal coverage of 180° and is ideal for ceiling mounting near the edges of the wall and centered along the coverage areas. Both models have an asymmetrical vertical coverage of 75° optimized for ceiling heights between 8' and 20'.
EdgeMax premium ceiling-mount speakers will be introduced during InfoComm 2017 and will be available for the fourth quarter of 2017.
