Polycom simplifies meeting space for the end user

Latin America. Polycom announced a number of new enhancements, including additional features for its flagship Polycom Trio solution to cement its role as the center of every meeting room experience, secure guest access at Polycom Pano, and the extension of the company's agreement with Zoom to launch Polycom Zoom Rooms.

Trio will work with Polycom's video Codecs, in addition to the current VisualPlus, opening the door to video conferencing capabilities previously reserved for larger rooms, such as the face-tracking feature found in EagleEye Director II and EagleEye Producer.

Trio will also be able to offer an optimized room experience with dual-monitor support, enhanced audio coverage with ceiling-mounted microphones, and enhanced HDMI connectivity. With no need for additional remotes, Trio's touchscreen becomes the only interface needed to manage call volume, camera zoom and more. It has already been adopted by 65 Fortune 100 companies.

For its part, Polycom Pano will now have "guest access" to allow business consultants, customers, partners or entrepreneurs to connect and share content over a secure guest WI-FI network. Pano will run on a second wireless network and operate in 'receive only' mode, ensuring the highest level of security and allowing meeting attendees to connect with confidence and share content with a single tap.

Pano supports up to four devices simultaneously and allows users to share presentations, documents, videos, and images with ease, while offering the ability to annotate files with its infinite whiteboard feature. The update will be released in July.

Polycom has also enhanced its partnership with Zoom to offer customers the best Zoom experience through its first Trio conferencing "smartphone," and to support Zoom Rooms in Polycom's leading audio and video solutions.

The new Polycom Zoom Rooms solution is available in three packages, suitable for all business needs, from meeting spaces to large meeting rooms. As part of the package, users can operate with Trio, while running the Zoom controller UI natively, creating the control experience of the entire Zoom Rooms.
