Mexico. Dielsa presented Siemon's new VersaPOD cabinet system that allows you to achieve a completely new and efficient solution to manage the physical infrastructure of your Data Center.
The VersaPOD enclosure frees up critical horizontal spaces by increasing the number of rack units available for new equipment and offers a unique, high-capacity, easy-to-manage cabling area. This takes advantage of the vertical space between the cabinets and the end of the row for cable management and/or power distribution.
Normally the servers are changed every 3 years, but the infrastructure where the datacenter is located is not renewed for decades. If the infrastructure does not adapt to the needs of the servers, they may stop working properly.
Thinking about the above, the VersaPOD system takes the cables out of the most congested areas with equipment, more space and a high vertical capacity is achieved in the wiring areas, which implies benefits for your Data Center infrastructure.
Density - The VersaPOD's additional vertical space gives you more units to deploy high-density data center infrastructures without sacrificing proper cable management or the order or aesthetics of your facility.
Scalability - The high capacity of the cable management zones of versaPOD's Zero-U solution not only leaves significant gaps for additional cabling channels as your needs grow, but also frees up the space needed for future network equipment without the need to add more cabinets or consume valuable areas of space within the data center.
Flexibility - The wide variety of cable routing options offered by the VersaPOD allows you to support almost any data center configuration, giving you the flexibility to design an infrastructure that fits your work needs, taking into account the space limitations of traditional cabinets.
Accessibility - With your wiring channels in your dedicated space between cabinets you can make additions and changes and gain unobstructed access to your equipment, spending less time organizing cabinets and devoting more to your strategic goals.
Carlos Garza, Commercial Director of Dielsa commented, "The innovative design of VersaPOD offers unique features to improve the efficiency and management of all the most common data center environments and configurations, its greatest benefit is its versatility," he said.
By making use of spaces wasted by traditional cabinets, the VersaPOD allows for design options that were not possible before. You can also take advantage of its extra capacity to save space, plan future developments, or take advantage of its cable management and Zero-U patching capabilities to control your physical spaces. With VersaPOD you have the ability to design the infrastructure you really need.
Features:
True Depth: VP2A cabinets are actually 1200 mm (48 inches) deep, allowing full access to the faux floor tiles on the front and back of the cabinets.
Adjustable Installation Rails: CEA 310-E type installation rails are fully adjustable to accommodate a wide range of networking and storage equipment up to 1000mm (40") deep. Multiple perforations and cage nuts increase the ability to customize the VersaPOD according to user requirements.
Pre-Connector cable support: VersaPOD cable management devices are designed to optimize the installation and maintenance benefits of Siemon's pre-connectorized copper and fiber cable assemblies, as well as Plug & Play solutions, enabling consistent, modular and rapid deployment for both new installations and future data center expansions.
Integrated ground pole: The doors and side panels are characterized by the integrated ground pole option which eliminates the need for cables for connection.
Optimized space between doors and frames: Both 1000mm (40-inch) and 1200mm (48-inch) cabinets are characterized by 150mm (6 inches) gaps between the frames and doors to ensure optimal cable management capability.
Simplified distribution of power cables: Standard 19" rackmount PDUs, including Siemon PDUs, can be mounted in the vertical spaces of the VersaPOD type Zero-U, achieving orderly routing and management of power cables for equipment.
