International. The company Avid and Abbey Road Studios are looking for new talent for the music industry through a contest, to celebrate in this way the 25 years of joint work with the audio recording and production system Pro Tools.
Aspiring artists, musicians and producers from around the globe will have the opportunity to have their work judged by an illustrious committee of music industry figures, as well as Internet fans, during the voting period from March 8 to 15, 2013.
"The hardest thing for an aspiring musician is to get the right people to hear their songs. This contest is the perfect idea for artists to showcase their music and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to hear an eclectic mix of songs," said Greg Wells, competition judge and producer, mixer and songwriter.
Artists can upload their original song to "Submit a Track" until March seven. The three winning songs, chosen by the judges, will receive as a prize the opportunity to mix and master a song of their choice that will be performed by Abbey Road Studios, in addition to an Avid Pro Tools system| HD Native. In addition, a prize will be awarded by fans who will be able to vote for their favorite song and the winner will receive an Avid Mbox audio interface with Pro Tools 10 software.
