International. MMD and Philips launched a high-performance LED display for 3D digital signage that does not require glasses for viewing, especially for public places.
Reference BDL5535VS, the new display features a viewing angle of 150 degrees vertical/horizontal. In this way, viewers will be able to simultaneously enjoy up to 28 lenticular visits, allowing them to virtually peek around the objects and offer 3D depth.
The autostereoscopic display maximizes 3D impact in its 55". Its development is based on technology that eliminates conical transitions and guarantees smooth, flicker-free and bright images. A special optical linking process provides vivid and lifelike colors, while the strong contrast (4000:1) adds impressive clarity to the images displayed.
Its creators emphasize that this is the first lenticular 3D LED screen in portrait mode, in what they call a new advertising format suitable for all types of content and capable of processing large amounts of data without slowing down.
It also allows conventional 2D content to be presented as stereoscopic images, thus offering ample space for ideas and responding to the demands of its professional users.
And the expectations of this solution for digital signage are high if the forecasts of a study from Tilburg University are met, which states that 3D digital signage can increase the average viewing time of the audience by up to 45% and thus help increase sales in almost all environments.
