International. Cisco selected Revolabs to develop its latest IP conferencing system, being the first product on the market using the new generation of the FLX digital signal processing platform.
The new Cisco Conference Phone 8831 IPs feature a sleek industrial design to complement any boardroom or conference room. This base unit contains a dual-first speaker industrial configuration with four HD-capable microphones and uses a wired dialer.
The headset is available with three options to extend the coverage of larger rooms: a daisy-chaining kit to connect two docking units together, and wired and wireless microphone kits, each with two omnidirectional microphones.
With these, users can place the additional microphones anywhere they are needed in the conference room, thus expanding coverage and increasing sound quality.
For its part, the FLX platform provides advanced audio technology, superior echo cancellation and acoustics, as well as technology for wireless microphones that facilitate sound with unparalleled clarity and flexibility.
JP Carney, CEO of Revolabs, explained that "Cisco was interested in partnering with a company that could develop its next generation of unified communications products and after evaluating the FLX platform, it approached us."
