Artel Video Systems introduced its new DLC450, a solution designed for uncompressed HD-SDI video transport, managed over IP networks that uses IP encapsulation over SMPTE 2022-5/6 and error correction algorithms (FEC) that ensure error-free operation in transport and compliance with industry standards.
Richard Dellacanonica, President of Artel Video Systems, said: "With the advent of reliable 10G Ethernet links and an industry standard for video encapsulation and FEC, the domestic and international transport of uncompressed HD-SDI video is now a reality.
With seamless integration within the DigiLink platform, users will be able to configure the DLC450 through DigiLink Manager or via SNMPv2, either as a sender or receiver.
In transmitter mode, the DLC450 packages video with SMPTE 2022-6 for encapsulation and provides users with flexible SMPTE 2022-5 FEC configurations to maximize reliability and minimize latency and overhead.
In receiver mode, its robust multi-pass FEC correction algorithm and user-configurable packet buffering enable reliable performance on fewer Ethernet links.
