Latin America. With the new SL Interpreter console, Sennheiser expands its Tourguide conferencing and presentation system with a complete solution to control language interpretation channels.
As a stand-alone unit for simultaneous interpretation, Sennheiser's SL Interpreter brings together the key functions of an interpretation console. When combined with Tourguide's SR 2020 transmitter and Tourguide receivers for the public, it offers a scalable solution for language interpretation, ensuring simple installation and friendly operation.
"Whether you are doing a product presentation or an international conference with hundreds of participants, SL Interpreter will impress with its flexibility and ease of use," said Wienand Mensendiek, Portfolio Manager and Channel Development Integrated Systems at Sennheiser.
In combination with the digital receivers of the Tourguide 2020 (available in both bodypack and stethoset versions), SL Interpreter creates an easy-to-handle and quick-to-install interpretation solution. For more demanding applications, the SL Interpreter and Tourguide bodypack receivers are the best combination to ensure optimal speech intelligibility, even in environments with heavy radio frequency traffic.
SL Interpreter handles the language on stage and, if more translations are required, up to four interpretation consoles can be combined for simultaneous translation of the same number of languages.
As usual, two interpreters can work on each SL Interpreter console, allowing them to take turns interpreting. Each interpreter can individually adjust the audio settings directly on the console. In addition to volume, bass and treble controls, Sennheiser's new performance console features a mute function and a 'cough' button to briefly mute the microphone.
As a complete solution, SL Interpreter can be easily and quickly configured. You only need to connect a headset (or a microphone and a pair of headphones) and the performance solution will be ready to use.
