Latin America. Audio-Technica introduced its new System 10 PRO rackmount digital wireless system, the latest addition to A-T's growing range of System 10 wireless solutions. Like all System 10 models, the System 10 PRO rackmount system operates in the 2.4 GHz range, which keeps it free not only from TV interference, but also from the regulatory uncertainty that TV bands face in the future.
Your rackmount chassis can house one or two receiving units that can operate locally inside the chassis or be removed from the chassis and mounted remotely (at a distance of approximately up to 91 m) via an Ethernet cale. This method of providing wireless technology increases the versatility of the system while improving wave propagation, without the significant expense of adding an antenna distributor and corresponding cables. In addition, up to five System 10 PRO chassis (10 receivers) can be linked using the RJ12 cable that is included with each system, allowing a stable multichannel system to be created with the simultaneous use of up to 10 channels.
Chassis LCD display displays RF signal level, system ID, transmitter battery level and system pairing status Like all products in the System 10 family of wireless systems, this model offers 24-bit/48 kHz wireless operation, ease of installation, and clear and natural sound quality, as well as three levels of diversity control: frequency, time and space.
The diversity of frequencies sends the signal through two dynamically assigned frequencies (with automatic frequency selection) to avoid all types of interference without problems. Temporal diversity sends the signal over several time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Spatial diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity. The ground disconnect switch helps eliminate audible buzzing caused by mass loops.
Each System 10 PRO rackmount system includes an ATW-RC13 receiver chassis, one or two ATW-RU13 receiver units, one or two AT8690 receiver unit mount adapters, an RJ12 cable, two rackmount adapters, a coupling plate, an AC adapter, and one or two UniPak® ATW-T1001 and/or ATW-T1002 handheld bag transmitters. Both the receiver chassis and transmitters feature easy-to-read displays.
The System 10 PRO system will be available in February 2015.
