Latin America. The FBT company presented two new subwoofer versions of its Muse line. The first is the 118FSA, a truly reversible subwoofer, designed to be flown over structures in array-like systems. It is an 18" hybrid subwoofer with Neodymium magnets designed to hang over the flow bar of the Muse system.
It can be mounted in both directions, facing backwards or facing forward. If mounted on the contrary, the front grille can be easily disassembled by the user and placed in the new "front" of the enclosure, obtaining a complete aesthetic consistency when mounted next to another Muse 118FSA's facing forward.
In this way, when we create a subwoofer system in cardioid, it is not necessary to acquire any additional hardware to obtain a perfect visual continuity.
The suspension accessories are compatible with those existing in the Muse 210 LA, allowing the enclosure to be suspended both in one direction and another, to be able to easily create arrangements in cardioid configurations.
The user can adapt the grid and amplifier module to the type of mounting he decides, facing backwards or forwards, to obtain visual uniformity in the cardioid systems. For cardioid configurations with a sub-bass directed backwards, and two forwards, more than 15dB SPL rejection can be achieved at the rear of the array.
The second is the 118FS, a passive subwoofer for flying in array systems, 1200W – 139 dB SPL, recommended amplifier of 1200 Wrms / 8 Ohms. It features input and loop connectors, Neutrik Speakon NL4MDV, and requires external digital processor.
