Latin America. D2L revealed its new version of its Brightspace Insights analytics suite, which marks a significant step forward in technology's role in advancing learning, enabling student data to be aggregated and captured from across the learning ecosystem (including learning apps, content publishers, online tools, and different learning management systems).
In addition, it gives autonomy to teachers to act with a complete view of the student at the time of learning. Teachers can now see where students are succeeding or struggling and intervene in real time to improve outcomes and graduation rates.
John Baker, President and CEO of D2L said, "With this launch, we make it easier for teachers to predict which students are at risk, to help them as they learn not simply to identify problems at the end of the course. The new Brightspace Insights provides teachers with more quality feedback that will help increase completion rates, lead to better outcomes and spur greater engagement."
The new system tracks, measures and monitors students' progress and helps them become more engaged at each step. With the streaming of IMS Caliper learning events from tools such as the Kaltura Video platform, Microsoft Office Mix, and Microsoft OneNote Class Notebook Creator in Brightspace, faculty and faculty now see a richer landscape of learning activities across tools.
Brightspace Insights takes the data and places it into high-performance reporting, comprehensive data visualization, and predictive analytics to give teachers visibility into student issues at the right time. Teachers can act immediately as real-time analytics are incorporated into workflows to make information timely, contextd, and actionable.
