International. During a musical career of 25 years, Fito Cabrales has delighted fans around the Spanish-speaking world and now his popular rock band Fito & Fitipaldis is promoting his latest album "Huyendo conmigo de mi", for which he has developed an impressive light show by the hand of Elation.
The lighting design was made by Luis Pastor, who has integrated a set of three striking light crossings formed by Elation Cuepix Panel RGB luminaires. Following an initial stretch of winter in stadiums and theatres, the band's current summer tour is playing outdoor venues across Spain. The lighting, sound and visual equipment for the tour, including cuepix panels, are being supplied by PRG of Spain.
Each of the three crosses is mounted on an individual cross-shaped frame structure and composed of 13 Cuepix panels (39 in total). The Cuepix is a high-power matrix panel with individual pixel control and a full spectrum of 25x 30 watts RGB COB LED colors. Each cross is connected to a Kinesys motion control system, which allows various settings through height and tilt adjustments.
The three crosses effectively fill the upper space above the band while visually complementing and working with the LED video display backdrop and lighting. Rafa Carvajal, an operator and lighting programmer, said one of the concerns at the start of the tour was to join the 13 Cuepix panels for each cross. But in the end they have become the easiest element to set up in the lighting equipment.
