Panasonic launches WV-ASF900 facial recognition system

Mexico. Key Business Process Solutions presented in Mexico the Panasonic WV-ASF900 Facial Recognition System, which offers the possibility of running facial recognition in an IP security system. By implementing Panasonic technology in both the cameras and the server, it is possible to have accurate information about who is accessing your facilities.  In addition, you may receive analytics information for markenting, such as people counting, age information, and gender assessment.

The WV-ASF900 is useful for any type of installation that requires a high level of security or where exact information on who accesses the building is necessary.  You can receive the information from several cameras, from different sites at the same time and collect all the information in real time.

Features and Benefits

The WV-ASF900 server can be deployed in any existing Panasonic IP installation for improvement.  The face tie resource is split between the camera and the server, which means that the server can work with up to 20 cameras at the same time.  Facial recognition is performed in real time and the operator can easily access the recorded images related to the face using the GUI integrated into the current Panasonic monitoring software – the WV-ASM200 and the WV-ASM970 in combination with the WV-ASE321.

Additionally, the server acts as a powerful marketing tool with people counting and age and gender recognition capabilities.  This is done with a high degree of accuracy using a combination of the best images taken from Panasonic cameras and facial technology on the server.  Up to 5 million faces can be registered and it is possible to make such a query in 3 seconds.
