TecnoMultimedia InfoComm, getting better and better

TecnoMultimedia InfoComm cada vez mejor The increase in the number of attendees to the academic day, the greater number of visitors to the commercial exhibition and the increase in the number of exhibiting companies are evidence of the growth and success achieved by TecnoMultimedia InfoComm 2011.

The organizers of the event held at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín, Colombia, on November 9 and 10, were very satisfied with the results achieved in this edition, in addition to expressing optimism about the possibilities of future growth.

Sebastian Fernandez, vice president of sales and operations for Latin Press Inc., revealed that the event received 1500 visitors. He also highlighted the growth in the number of companies present, as the commercial sample increased the number of stands by 300% compared to the previous year.

For his part, Rodrigo Casassus, regional director for Latin America of InfoComm, said that the main objective of the association was "to offer the Latin American market a better product in terms of exhibitors, quality of stands and in general in all the components of the fair".

He also added that "the balance is extremely positive, the exhibitors have been very impressed with the quality and quantity of the public, which shows the interest in the market towards this type of show".

As for the conferences held during the second academic day, he highlighted the exhibition "Fundamental principles of AV design" by Nelson Baumgratz. The InfoComm instructor pointed to the need of the audiovisual industry to work customer-centric, taking into account their wants and needs.

In this regard, Baumgratz stressed that "the client does not buy an audiovisual system, he buys a solution for his company, that's why we (AV designers) are only a small piece of the puzzle".

The third version of the event, to be held in 2012, already has the confirmed presence of 90% of the exhibiting companies attending this year and will have the participation as speakers of experts in integrated audiovisual systems.
