Choose the best AV installation 2014 in Latin America

Latin America. Online voting is now open to choose the best AV installation in Latin America in the Contest that seeks to recognize the best projects and installations of audiovisual systems in Latin America carried out during the last year (2013-2014), and which aims to promote and stimulate the realization of projects of this type in the region.

In its first version, the Contest received applications for installations made in Chile, Brazil and Colombia. All highlighted by the technical quality, innovation and transcendence of the project, focused on the categories: corporate, commercial and entertainment.

The finalists are:

The objective of the project is a means of communication of events and services offered by Maloka, where in turn three educational and advertising video games are incorporated that allow interacting with the logos of maloka's allied companies, while wanting to reach the user with educational messages.

This project allows to present a solution of great impact, modern, innovative and of great interest for any type of public, in addition to the infrastructure of the same allows to give additional uses as support for corporate events or the presentation of special contents.

ENB - Brasilia National Stadium

This project consisted of a sound system solution provided to the Brasilia National Stadium, in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, which has a capacity for 70,000 people, for the 2013 Confederations Cup, and 2014 World Cup.

Basically, it is a multi-zone speaker system, designed to bring audio to all points of the stadium. Different types of speakers were specified, according to the different environments. It is a modular speaker system, which allows the designer to choose different coverage modules, among the 42 available types, to build a set capable of covering a certain area with uniform power.

Signos Studio Ltda installed this AV solution, 180 meters below the surface of the earth, in a sinkhole of 10x16x50 m (WxHxL), inside the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá – Colombia. The salt sinkhole was set up as a 3D room to screen the animated short film Nucuma (3). The film is screened 365 days a year in 16 daily performances. The hall has an area of 500 m² and a capacity of 260 chairs that accommodate on average 1,500 tourists every day.

The 3D technology used is passive circular polarization, with dual projection system HD-2K and glass polarizing filters. 30,000 lumens on screen with Sanyo PLC-HF15000L(4) projectors and long-throw lenses, since the master control is located 30 meters from the screen.

Hernán Godoy Santiago, Chile

Audiovisual implementation of the Convention Center and common spaces (lobby, pool, restaurants, etc.). State-of-the-art technology was used, the structure is HDBASET, interconnection of all rooms and spaces, domotized from an ipad, optimizing assembly times, reducing to minutes what were previously hours, reduction of error by 98%.
