Whenever you talk about the AV industry you think about technology, innovation, spectacle. But in recent months I have begun to hear, more and more frequently, that there is a growing interest in including the green concept in audiovisual projects.
And how is it done? A green AV project must be thought from different fronts: in the type of materials used in the intervention, in that the solutions are long-term and adaptable to the evolution of technology, in how they contribute the solutions to the day to day of the users allowing factors such as energy savings and even in recycling and disposal plans of the equipment at the end of its useful life.
And it is that this last factor is one of the most polluting. According to a United Nations study, nearly 65 million technological waste will be produced worldwide in 2016.
For example, the lead of the screens and the mercury of the lamps, are elements that if they are discarded do not have an adequate treatment, they are highly polluting the environment and can end up affecting all the people who inhabit the area.
Therefore, the invitation is to think, what does your company do to make AV projects environmentally friendly? Are your projects sustainable?
