Latin America. Felipe Bascuñán was appointed as the new Regional Manager for the Southern Cone region of the company Extreme Networks, a position in which he will concentrate his efforts to consolidate operations based in Santiago de Chile.
He will be in charge of the development of business strategies and regional positioning to continue the sustained double-digit growth that the company had been deploying and this will continue during the fiscal year 2014 that has just begun.
In addition, Bascuñán will promote the sale of Extreme Networks products and solutions, as well as the strengthening of relationships with the distribution channel and customers.
In this regard, the new executive said that "today I assume the challenge of contributing my experience in the consolidation of the company and in responding to the demand of our customers in the Southern Cone region, who trust in our ability to anticipate their needs and trends in IT".
Felipe Bascuñán, who took office today, will report directly to Carlos Perea, Vice President of Sales for Latin America. Prior to this appointment, Bascuñán served within Extreme Networks as Terrritory Manager for the Andean zone, obtaining consistent results with continuous growth year after year and with a strong push in countries such as Peru and Colombia.
This experience consolidated his vision in technical, commercial and business strategy terms, which advocated the expansion of Extreme Networks in Spanish-speaking countries in South America.
With almost 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Bascuñán has gained great experience in the market. He is an Electrical Engineer with a major in Telecommunications from the University of Santiago de Chile, (USACH).
